Gather & Gather opened the doors on their latest Office Park venture this morning, Monday 15th August 2016, with a ‘Pop-up’ coffee and deli offer featuring ‘Larry the Land Rover’ and their coffee partner The Roasting Party. The rest of their recently won 4,000ft2 foodservice offer will be re-fitted over the next 6 weeks.
This opening marks a ‘step change’ in the food offer on Winnersh Triangle and a growing trend on Business Parks across the UK to elevate the public offer from a traditional canteen to concepts that would be quite at home on the High Street.
JLL Foodservice Consulting have been instrumental in driving this change, working with Landlords and operators to change the way foodservice is delivered. Increasingly delivering great food and drink is not enough and customers, irrespective of where they are – Business Park, staff restaurant or branded High Street Restaurant, are after great experiences.
The Pop-up launch, whilst only delivering Barista Coffee, pastries and pre-packed sandwiches in the first few days will build over the next 6 weeks to include elements of hot food to give populations a taster of the full offer.
Early feedback from ‘pop-up’ users on day 1 has been really positive. Exceptional handmade coffee, a marked improvement on the basic Costa offer available last week and at the same price. An exciting range of pre-packed sandwiches and salads, delivering great value, with some up to £1.00 cheaper than available in the previous operation.
The G&G approach to pricing is refreshing and a real ‘game changer’ in their quest to win the hearts and minds of the Winnersh Triangle populations. Their aim is simple: to appeal to a larger market at a lower spend, rather than the traditional approach of trying to squeeze as much per head as possible.
The completed offer will provide Winnersh Triangle Business Park with a new focal point, an attractive ‘all-day’ destination in place of the lunchtime only canteen offer. We hope this will become the new standard for Business Park foodservice.
